From an approach of processual basis, and through installation, site specific projects, online mechanisms, videos, objects, publications and the use of drawing, Rubén Santiago‘s work raises issues ranging from construction mechanisms of memory to the consensual granting of symbolic value, as well as a critical analysis of patterns of power and regulation of contemporary societies.

His projects have been shown in spaces like Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume (Paris), National Gallery / Národní Galerie (Praga), Cí­rculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, Centre d’Art Santa Mònica (Barcelona), Fundación Caixa Galicia (A Coruña), Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, CGAC – Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea (Santiago de Compostel·la), MARCO Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Vigo, Off Limits (Madrid), Auditorio de Galicia (Santiago de Compostela), Museo de Bellas Artes de Venezuela (Caracas), Instituto Cervantes in Beijing (China), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas (Venezuela), Galeri­a Fernando Santos (Oporto), Galeria Zé dos Bois (Lisboa), Luis Adelantado gallery (Valencia) or DF gallery (Santiago de Compostela), among others.
