The artist, Pablo Marte, has been chosen to take up
a 4-month residency from September to December 2007 at Cenart, in Mexico D.F.
The Hangar Programmes Committee made the final selection from the 4 pre-selected
applications from the following artists: 1.

Results of the selection- Grant Hangar/Duende de Rotterdam (Holanda)

L’artista seleccionada ha estat Miren Arenzana.
Miquel A. Melgars ha quedat en segon lloc, com a reserva. Residència de
3 mesos de l’1 de juliol al 30 setembre de 2007 al centre Duende de
Rotterdam (Holanda). La selecció final s’ha fet entre les 9
sol.licituds preseleccionades per la comissió de programes d’hangar,
dels artistes següents: Ana Beltrá, Miguel Angel Melgares,
Miren Arenzana, Adrià Rodriguez, Anna Moreno, Atsuko Arai, Esteban de
la Monja, Lorena Sánchez, Nicolás Laíz.

A-Desk workshop

The week between 16 04 07 and 20 04 07 we held the workshop "Critical Practices. Tools for Critical
Discourse in Art". Organised at Hangar by A-Desk, this was a participative
workshop for artists aimed at establishing a venue for group creativity,
critical reading of written material and creating texts from the artist’s point
of view.

Hangar-Fondazione Pistoletto grant

The artist, Andrés Torca, has been selected for a 4-month
residency from 1 July to 31 October 2007 at
Cittadellarte (Biella-Italy). The Hangar Programmes Committee made the final
selection from the 6 pre-selected applications from the following artists: Andrés
Torca, Jean-Philippe Peynot, Ana Lezeta, Aníbal Parada, Ion Arregui and q3 – Esperança Marimón/Núria Navarro.

Graffitti Research Labis organising a 3-day workshop for participants
to train in the use of strategies & open-code tools for urban
communication.

The artist, Miren Arenzana, has been chosen as the grant awardee. Miquel A. Melgars has been chosen in
second place as a reserve candidate. The grant consists of a 3-month residency from
1st July to 30th September 2007 in the Duende centre in
Rotterdam (Holland).
The Hangar Programmes Committee made the final selection from the 9
pre-selected applications from the following artists: Ana Beltrá, Miguel
