Alejandro Palacín presents Locus Solus Minecraft Version

On 14 May at 7 p.m. Hangar hosts the performative conference Locus Solus Minecraft Version in which Alejandro Palacín will present the garden of sculptures he has been building for years in the video game Minecraft.

Two years ago Alejandro Palacín began building a private garden in the video game Minecraft, Locus Solus, inspired by the novel of the same name by Raymond Roussel. A large garden of impossible sculptures built with virtual cubes in which Palacín gives free rein to his sculptural concerns without succumbing to physical limitations. A sculpture park of considerable dimensions that continues to grow today.

Roussel’s novel narrates an afternoon in which the eccentric Martial Canterel accompanies his guests on a hilarious journey through Locus Solus, the garden-museum in which he collects unusual psychedelically rational inventions, explaining how they work, increasingly complex and fascinating.

Following the same format of a quirky guided tour, in Locus Solus Minecraft Version Alejandro Palacín will showcase his unique sculpture garden.

This activity is organized by the Club de videojocs, an informal group of people interested in video games not only as forms of entertainment but also as tools of knowledge, who meet periodically in Hangar to share a while together playing and commenting video games and / or topics related to video games.

*Note: Although Videojoc Club meetings are usually held behind closed doors, this activity is public and no prior registration is required.
