Rosa Llop presents Entrepensar at the Autonomous University of Barcelona

The artist in residence Rosa Llop, who, at Hangar’s proposal, participates in the programme espais c. Contemporary creation in schools, will present her research methodology Entrepensar on Wednesday 9 March at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, as part of a university training day organised as part of the project INTERSTICE. Encounters between artists, children and educators (Erasmus + Strategic Partnerships KA203).

Hangar participates in the 2021-2023 edition of the programme espais c. Contemporary creation in schools. During 2021/2022 a new phase of this programme is being tested (beta phase), based on the involvement of an artist with a public primary school. The selected artists develop a one-year residency at the school, which also provides them with a space (preferably a studio/workshop) where their residency is located. The residency at the school can be extended for a maximum of one more year.

In the case of Rosa Llop, Hangar made an internal call among resident artists, specifically aimed at participating for the first time in espais c. It then involved the educational team of the Escola Sagarra in the selection of the resident artist. Entrepensar is the title of Rosa Llop’s proposal for espai c at Escola Sagarra, a generative research methodology used to mediate in collective processes, which applies non-discursive languages as a tools for exploring, understanding and questioning reality collectively.

espais c is a programme promoted by the Barcelona Education Consortium and the Barcelona Institute of Culture. It was devised jointly with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2015.
