Sesiones Polivalentes (Multipurpose Sessions) are annual and one-day sessions, managed by the resident artists of the center that takes place in Hangar.

Our objective is to open channels of communication and debate through practical collaboration, in any of its formats: conferences, joint actions, parallel activities, etc. For this we offer a place of experimentation to accommodate actions and activities that we consider interesting that happen in an artistic context.

The activities will be produced by the same resident artists and by other creators chosen by them.

RANDOM

The concept of randomness, chance and fate – as a found object, anonymous – have been a way of renewing and rethinking the concept of authorship. We consider RANDOM as a methodology in multiple scenarios that participate in our perception of the “sensitive”: from the surreal cadavres exquisites to the Music of Changes based on John Cage’s I Ching, the Cut UP by Brion Gysin, from William Burroughs the femicide or by the digital processes narrated as a form of machine intervention that has been approached by science fiction from the terms of consciousness and desire.

RANDOM as a creative counterpoint releasing the unforeseen to a sphere outside the deterministic logics, removing the stigma to error – and in a naïve way supposedly to the “free” associations, giving rise to new creative possibilities, knowing that we can not escape the drive of generating meaning.
