Anòmia Acció 021 — Christian Mirande, Slow Tongued Beauty, Arnau Sala Saez presents: Escolta superficial

The Anòmia platform, coordinated by artist in residence Arnau Sala Saez, presents its action number 021 with a live performance by American musicians Christian Mirande and Slow Tongued Beauty, accompanied by a performance by Sala Saez called Escolta Superficial.

Christian Mirande (*1986) is an experimental musician from Philadelphia. His music uses magnetic tape manipulation techniques, various methods of audio synthesis and resynthesis, and a variety of instruments ranging from fretless bass to iPhone voice notes. His work is often described as textural or atmospheric. He is a member of Open Corner and The Flea Circus. He has released music on labels including Hanson, Vitrine and Regional Bears.

Slow Tongued Beauty is the experimental electronic music project of Philadelphia-based artist Ryan Scott Kerr. Combining characteristics of American underground noise and soundscapes, STB has been described by Jon Borges of Pedestrian Deposit as “aggressive electronic synthesis segueing from quieter passages of modular minimalism to arrhythmic industrial jackhammer brutality, noise cut-ups and harrowing, dramatic sound design, all with razor-sharp precision”. STB’s music has been released on labels such as Monorail Tresspassing, No Rent Records and Flag Day Recordings.
