Artistic Research Grant Fundació Banc Sabadell – Hangar
The Artistic Research Grant Fundació Banc Sabadell – Hangar is a program aimed at artists and researchers that seeks to contribute to the development of the notion of artistic knowledge, promoting the documentation, publication and dissemination of artistic research. The program promotes research projects in any of its phases that need the context and/or the resources of Hangar for their development and that propitiate actions to open and share the knowledge generated during the work process. Each edition selects a project to be carried out during a consecutive eight-month residency, without the need for registration or parallel development within the academic framework. The main purposes of the program are, on the one hand, to assist the researchers in the implementation of an experimental work process and in the material development of their project; and on the other hand, to create a research space in which the methodologies of academic tradition, based more or less indirectly on the scientific model, converge in a radical way with the methodologies of the artistic context.
