Avui 26.5 a les 19h inaugura l’exposició Pere Noguera. Històries d’arxiu (1974-2011) comissàriada per la Pilar Parcerisas. L’exposició constitueix un treball en procés que començà a la dècada de 1970 i que ha estat rellegit amb intensitat els darrers anys. + info

Activity Programme for “Hangar Obert”

Just like every year, Hangar will be taking part in Tallers Oberts Poblenou, an initiative that opens the studios of artists and craftsmen from the neighbourhood, and creates an extensive programme of activities. As well as opening their studios to the public, Hangar’s resident artists have prepared a programme of activities, which include an interactive installation, concerts, and performances with applause metre, a screening of the Champions final, and a bar with drinks and sandwiches.

(Español) Convocatoria para solicitar taller para producción, estancias cortas (de 1 a 3 meses)

(Español) Dirigida a artistas y creadores que necesitan un espacio de trabajo para desarrollar un proyecto de producción específico, a desarrollar en un máximo de tres meses. Estas estancias cortas tienen por objeto dar cabida a aquellos proyectos que, por las necesidades de su proceso de producción, precisan de un espacio de desarrollo durante un periodo breve.
El plazo de presentación de solicitudes es del 23 de mayo al 20 de junio de 2011.

Tallers Oberts Poble Nou 2011

On the weekend of the 28th and 29th of May, during the Poblenou neighbourhood’s May festivities, there will be a  Tallers Oberts (Open Studios) day that will include the neighbourhood’s studio spaces, within the framework of Tallers Oberts Barcelona which takes places throughout various areas of the city. Hangar will be taking part with a programme of activities organised by the artists in residence, which will include performances and concerts, and which will be available soon on our website.

Call for applications: Studio spaces for short stays (between 1 and 3 months)

Aimed at artists who need a workspace in order to carry out specific projects to be developed within a maximum period of three months. These short stays aim to cater to projects that, due to their production needs, only require a space for their development during a brief period of time.
Applications will be accepted between the 23rd of May and the 20th June of 2011.
The following studios are available:
1 30 m2 studio, from July to September 2011
1 30 m2 studio, from October to December of 2011

(Español) Reunida la comisión de programas de Hangar el 18 de mayo de 2011,
decidió preseleccionar para la beca  Hangar-TWS (Japón) de las 92
solicitudes recibidas a los/las artistas siguientes:
Ariadna Parreu, Axel Koschier, Blaise Perrin, Samuel Labadie, Mariona Moncunill, Pablo de Soto, Pau Faus, Ricardo Iglesias, Vicente Luis Vázquez.
Residencia de 3 meses del 20 de septiembre  al 20  de diciembre 2011.

Beca Hangar-SAS Geumcheon (Corea) de las 76 solicitudes recibidas, los/las artistas preseleccionados/as son:
Alba Mayol, Avelino Sala, Guillermo Pfaff, Jaime de la Jara, José Begega, Mariona Moncunill, Verónica Lorenzo, Vicente Luis Vázquez.
Residencia de 3 meses de 15 de septiembre al 15 de diciembre de 2011
*Se comunicará el resultado final el 7 de junio.

Beca Hangar-ADM (México) de las 99 solicitudes recibidas los/las artistas preseleccionados/as son:
Alba Mayol, Axel Koschier, Natalia Marín, David F. Mutiloa, Esther Planas, Fermín Jiménez, Karlos Martínez, Lúa Coderch, M. Angeles Alcántara, Santiago Taccetti.
Residencia de 3 meses del 15 de septiembre al 15 de diciembre de 2011.
*Se comunicará el resultado final el 23 de mayo.

*Rogamos a los artistas preseleccionados para estas becas que para
facilitar la decisión de los jurados de Japón y Corea, se traduzca la solicitud al inglés, accediendo al mismo formulario y procediendo a su rectificación. El plazo es hasta el lunes 23 de mayo a las 10h de la mañana.

After meeting on the 18th of May of 2011, Hangar’s Programme Committee has decided to shortlist the following artists:

Hangar-TWS (Japan) grant. 92 applications were received, of which the following artists were shortlisted:

*The final decision will be announced on the 7th of June.

3-month residency from the 15th of September to the 15th of December 2011
*The final decision will be announced on the 23rd of May.

*In order to facilitate the jury’s work in Japan and Korea, the candidates are asked to please translate their application forms into English by logging into the application form again and making all the necessary changes. The deadline for this is Monday 23rd of May, at 10:00.

Round Trip. Loop’s Conversation. Nikita Yiangkiang/ Mariana Zamarbide

From the 13th to the 20th of May "Round Trip. Loop’s Conversations", a meeting between the artist Mariana Zamarbide and the curator Nikita Yingqian Cai will take place in Barcelona, with the aim of promoting exchange and knowledge about contemporary art.
